I'm back...

I know...it's been a LONG time since I journaled. That's just how it is with me. I get all psyched about something but soon lose my drive. My family knows this all too well & no one ever seems to take any new thngs I start very seriously. That's how it is with me. They're kinda used to me quitting.

The summer-like weather that we're experiencing is having its usual affect on me, at least from my point of view. I felt a rush of spring fever hit as I actually cleaned in & out & behind the kitchen stove this past weekend. Surprisingly enough, we haven't had our annual infestation of ants come marching through the cracks yet. Well, there's one less pile of crumbs for them to feast on if they do happen to visit anytime soon. Plus I found one of Muffin's favorite mouse toys behind the stove & 2 wads of newspaper (cheap Muffin toys). I'm sure I'll find more if I continue this exploration beneath the other appliances & furnishings throughout the house.

But this isn't really at all when I meant to write about. Frankly, I'm in a muddle again. What to do with the rest of my life, that is...! The time for summer activities is fast approaching. I realized today that I have barely 3 weeks left of work & then what...? What I mean is...what will I do this summer (if anything) to improve my job skills? Am I going back to school...or not? and where...? and for what...? I mean, what course of study...? I'm sure there are a lot of people my age (50 +) who are just beginning to embark on a new career at this time of their life but for me its more a question of what do I need to do to keep doing what I'm already doing? I don't want 'a NEW career. Well, actually, I wouldn't say that I even have a career. I have a job. So, what do I need to do to improve myself & keep at my current job ?

I wish I could just pull the answers out of a magic hat & be done with it. The latest has been exploring technical schools. It was suggested to me that I become an a/v technician of some sort, able to repair electronic equipment. Now tell me truthfully. Do you who know me honestly see me doing this? Well, like always, the answers will come...when the time is right, so I best not worry myself sick about it.

Tomorrow's another day...!
