Family

Family get-togethers are absolutely the greatest! I love it when all our boys are home & doing stuff together. Well, yes, maybe paintball wouldn't exactly be my choice of activities but if it brings them together in some way (without doing serious harm, then, hey, so be it!

I also love the fact that hub & elder son are starting in bond doing activities in which they both share an interest, such as fishing.

Another plus is middle son...who seems to be maturing to the point of realizing that you can't have it all or do it all, especially when you're a 'poor' college student ( as he puts it...) & have limited funds. Yes, you do need to have a social life but I think in all things, you need balance. Too much of a good thing or too little is not healthy or sensible.

As for the youngest...well, let's just say that I'm soooooooo greatful that he's finally getting a job because, well, he's an active fellow & I just can't afford him (meaning, his extra-extra social activities). Once the cash starts rolling in, well, maybe we can set a new coarse & sail on from there.

Life is good & I'm happy that I'm here to be a part of it. THANK YOU GOD!!!

Beevis & the 7 Dwarfs

Today's morning project was doing a thorough spring cleaning. I'm happy to report that Beevis & the 7 dwarfs (the neons) are alive & doing well... & their tank is squeaky clean once again. Muffin tried to shake paws/fins or whatever with Beevis in the process...but to no avail. So, she decided to take a nap instead.

Even though I'm on semester break, there's no time for napping. I'm going through the house one pile at a time. Today I put away my winter clothes, weeded through them & decided that I really didn't need that many sweaters. I'm just going to put the give-aways in the trunk of the car, for now. Later on this week I'll make a trip to the Red Cross or the thrift store, depending on which direction I'm heading in. I'm also going to try to avoid making extra trips out this week. The price of gas is outrageous.

Well, it's back to the ol' grind. Time to do some more weeding & then some laundry.
